We are Proteus Ltd trading as “Get Staff”, for the purpose of the GDPR regulation the data controller is Proteus Ltd.

Our commitment to privacy

Your privacy is important to us. we are committed not to share any of your details to any third party without your permission and we will not send you unnecessary emails or spam. to better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. to make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our about us page.

We will comply with data protection law which says that the personal information we hold about you must be:

  1. Used lawfully, fairly & transparently.
  2. Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained to you & not used in any other way that would be incompatible with those purposes.
  3. Relevant to the purpose we have discussed with you & limited only to those purposes.
  4. Accurate & up to date.
  5. Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes we have discussed with you.
  6. Kept secure.

The information we collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted to us by phone, email or other. we collect personal information about you such as name, address, National Insurance Number, work history, and education.

We may also receive personal data about you from other sources such as LinkedIn & job boards, we may also receive information about you via word of mouth for example a recommendation from a friend or former work colleague.

The way we use this information

We do not share this information with outside parties without your permission. we use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

How we share or disclose your personal data

In the main we will share your personal data within the confines of the “Get Staff” business premises this is to enable us to you provide you with the best possible service. Additionally we may share your personal data with selected third parties which will be prospective employers and/or clients for purposes of assessing your suitability. We will also share your personal data if we are under duty to comply with any legal obligation.

Our commitment to data security

To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

How long do we keep your personal data

We will keep your personal data in accordance with the following data retention periods:

Candidate personal data – 5 years since the last contact with you, contact is described as additional to your personal data on our database, placement in a role or if there is record of verbal or written communication with you. Candidates includes applicants for all vacancies we advertise & also includes individuals put forward to any of our clients.

Contractor financial data – 7 years following the last payment made. Contractors includes any candidate we have placed & made a payment to.

We will endeavour to permanently erase your personal data once it reaches the end of it’s retention period or where we receive a valid request to do so. However some of your data may still exist within our systems. For our purposes this data will be put beyond use, meaning that while it still exists on a system it cannot be readily accessed by operational systems, processes or staff.
